1. They time their relocate to save money
As a rule of thumb, people in the moving market load up a moving truck on a weekend that falls midmonth, says Ross Sapir, president of Road Moving Company. This tactic avoids both the headaches of weekday commuter traffic and the greater costs at the start and end of monthly, when the majority of people move.
